Our senior consultant Chris McIver has over 10 years' experience in embedded engineering in roles including Senior Software Engineer and Senior Electronics Test Engineer. As well as being a keen technologist he also shows an interest in the business requirements, aesthetics, usability and supportability of the end product and modules being worked on.

Chris has experience with ARM microprocessors (Cortex-M0, M1, M3, M4, Cortex-A8 and similar) as well as having used various others such as 8051s and Atmels 8-bit micros. Chris reguarly works with a different peripherals on SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232/458, USB, parallel interfaces and has experience with ethernet, wifi and bluetooth communications (including BLE). Chris is keen to take on interesting and complex projects.

While originally specialising in low power (and still having an interest in that field) most recently Chris has been working in electrical engineering dealing with very large amplifiers (e.g. 800A@100V), switching power supplies and three phase systems (125A).

As well as being able to take on entire projects he is also able to be a temporary member of your hardware/software team.
